Save a Lustron: 1143 Vinetta

December 28, 2011 , In: Residential Properties , With: No Comments

Interested in preserving a unique slice of American architectural history? Then hurry up and buy this 1949 Lustron home before it gets demolished!

It’s located on a quiet Des Peres street where several McMansions have gone up in recent years, and at least one other Lustron has been razed, so the clock is definitely ticking for this classic vintage house. From what I can tell, the original metal siding has been covered up, perhaps even removed, but the interior still has lots of charm….and those fabulous steel paneled walls. Just bring your own magnets…

If you’d like a buyer’s agent to show you this great little pre-fab house (with commission paid by the seller, of course), I’d be happy to help!
