When a house has been on the market for 200+ days, it’s only natural to assume that something is wrong with it. So when I noticed this cute 1947 ranch had been up for 233 days, with a price drop of $51,000 (or 53%), I was totally expecting the worst.
The MLS listing only offers one photo, and that’s of the exterior, so I had no idea what was waiting inside. Amazingly, what I discovered is a true find! Not only is the house in clean, reasonably good condition. It also offers way more space than I expected and a number of very charming vintage features.
I’m not a professional inspector so I can’t say for sure, but it looks like some electrical work is needed. There may also be plumbing or HVAC issues, or not. Either way, this house is bank-owned and listed at just $45,000, and I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody scoops it up for even less. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DEAL!
UPDATE 1/20: The price was just reduced even further. It’s now $30,000!
