A Walk in the Park: 9124 Rott

January 30, 2012 , In: Residential Properties , With: No Comments

A quirky 1954 ranch with a backyard overlooking Laumeier Sculpture Park…..there’s no way I was gonna miss this place! I drove down there a couple weeks ago, not knowing what to expect. And sure enough, it’s very quirky, with boxy little rooms, huge windows and a serious need for renovation. But oh, what potential!

The 1.2-acre yard does indeed glimpse a corner of Laumeier – the part with the Children’s Sculpture Garden. And because the surrounding properties are quickly filling up with grand McMansions, you could spend a nice chunk of change on a rehab and probably still make a profit on resale.

But you better hurry. The land is more valuable than the house, and no doubt somebody is eyeing it as a building site….

UPDATE 2/2: I showed this house again today and guess what I found? An old concrete inground pool buried back in the woods! I should also mention that most of the home’s major systems were updated in the past five years.

Listing courtesy of Kelli Ewen, RE/MAX Select, (636) 779-8080. More info available here.

If you’d like a buyer’s agent to show you this unique vintage property (with commission paid by the seller, of course), I’d be happy to help!
