Modernist Treasure: 1230 Hollins

June 13, 2012 , In: Field Notes, Residential Properties , With: 2 Comments

Here’s one of my favorite local surprises: a one-of-a-kind modern masterpiece in the heart of North County!

I’ve loved this house for years, and I’m thrilled to say that I finally got a full tour this morning! The owners are moving on after 23 years, and they’re selling this gorgeous, totally unique home for only the second time in its history.

I’ll be doing a full story over on NOCO in the next few days, but you can check out a preview here. This place is truly a find – meticulously maintained and nearly all original. It also comes with 2.61 private acres and a charming 1940s guest house!

UPDATE: Here’s the link to the NOCO story.

UPDATE #2: The price was just dropped to $299,000.

We walk past this house just about every weekend, and it is one of our favorites. This is a great hidden neighborhood. I look forward to seeing your story on it and hopefully some interior pics .

Thanks Shannon for your visit yesterday. It was great fun to share our home with someone so knowledgeable and appreciative of our Mid-Century Modernist home. I look forward to reading your article in NOCO.
