Steel My Heart: #18 Beacon

July 10, 2012 , In: Residential Properties , With: One Comment

I just finished adding an update over on my recent Lustron post – a cool new listing in Webster. And now, I see that the pre-fab steel house just up the street from me also hit the market today!

I included this home in my NOCO feature on North County Lustrons. I’ve also walked past it countless times over the years, always admiring its quirky design and emerald green steel roof!

I know the interior needs some TLC, maybe the exterior as well. But that’s balanced by the fact that the detached garage is steel too!! It’s pretty rare to see a pre-fab metal house with a matching garage. Especially one that’s selling for just $44,900!

Built around 1937, this house is located in my neighborhood, Old Ferguson West, which was recently named a National Register Historic District. It sits on a nice, quiet street within walking distance of the Ferguson Farmers Market, and is right next door to the beautiful daylily gardens of Braxton DeGarmo.

2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 750 square feet. Listing courtesy of Dave Pope, Pope Realty.

If you’d like a buyer’s agent with expert knowledge of the Ferguson area to show you this wee vintage bungalow, give me a call! I’m always happy to welcome people to my lovely neighborhood, where there are several neat properties on the market right now.
