One of my favorite things about the MLS (our realtor database) is being able to stumble upon photos like this. Maybe I’ve been watching too much Walking Dead lately, but this yard art pic from Crocker, MO, instantly made me think of zombies. But of course they can’t be zombies, because they read and eat ice cream…and go fishing!
HA! Actually, these sculptures are just a small part of a very interesting collection, all displayed on a very interesting property overlooking the Gasconade River. Stretching over 105 acres, including 3/4 mile of private river bank, this one-of-a-kind rural wonderland comes with three fully furnished homes, a 3-hole golf course (with irrigation), multiple lakes and waterfalls, a tennis court, a barn, a stable, a club house, an underground wine cellar, even a 1909 player piano!
As if that’s not enough, there’s also a pre-Civil War house and cemetery, a natural spring that puts out 500,000 gallons a day, and the remains of John Schlicht’s historic 1870s grain mill!
Scanning through the photos, I can’t really get a sense of what the houses look like here, but I can tell you they have 12 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms between them. Meaning this would make one awesome corporate retreat center or resort! You could even make it pet-friendly!
All you’ll need is $1,990,000….or whatever this property is worth after more than a year on the market. It’s located in the Missouri Ozarks, about 2 hours from St. Louis, and the sale includes all furnishings & antiques and some ATVs & other machinery.
