Hilltop Delight: 3533 Oak Hill

WOW! Here’s a rare find! I showed this 1952 ranch today, and not only is it an unusual example of mid-century modern in the city, but it’s also a stunning renovation that is absolutely gorgeous!

The whole house has been remodeled from top to bottom, and the result is pretty fantastic. LOVE the dark floors and open kitchen, also the sleek fireplace, back patio and oceans of natural light!

The location gets a big thumbs up (just south of Tower Grove Park) but there is one big drawback here: no basement. Although the house has a good deal of storage, the slab foundation means the laundry room is in the garage, which is huge bummer, especially for the winter months.

I wish they had converted the third bedroom into a laundry room, and possibly bumped the furnace & water heater back to accommodate a kitchen pantry, but I guess you could always do that down the road if you really wanted to. Either way, this is still one very cool house!

3533 Oak Hill has 3 bedrooms & 1 bath in 1120 square feet. It’s listed for $119,900 by Dawn Griffin, Circa Properties. If you’d like a buyer’s agent to show you this mid-century jewel, which just hit the market 3 days ago, give me a call!
