Homes with Soul fans, I apologize for lagging behind this week. I rescued a stray puppy Tuesday morning, and it turned my whole routine upside down. Thankfully, I found her owner and things have returned to normal, so here’s a fun new listing to get us back in the groove!

I’ll be honest. I’m not sure I’ve ever been to Dittmer, but when I saw this cool contemporary house there, I couldn’t wait to share it! For one, I love the architecture and the cozy wooded setting. I’m also nuts about the bargain price and totally psyched about the street name, which was inspired by the classic sci-fi movie Logans Run! (Is Soylent Green Court down the road?)

This place was built in 1980, four years after the film came out, and it features vaulted ceilings, an open layout and multiple levels. It sits on 1.8 very private acres and even has an inground pool!

Of course, it’s located pretty far out there, so you’ll have to rely on well water and septic, but since it’s a government-owned foreclosure, the price is definitely right! Just $50,000!!

If you’re looking for a unique country property on the cheap, you might want to add this one to the list. Especially if you’re a “runner” trying to escape from city living!

8433 Logans Run has 3 bedrooms & 2 baths in 1365 square feet. It was just listed today by Deborah Kiper, RE/MAX.

If you’d like a buyer’s agent to show you this rural hideaway, which is about 45 minutes from downtown St. Louis, give me a call!
