I got so many lovely emails about La Piccola Casa, the tiny house on The Hill that I featured a few weeks ago, that I couldn’t help but share this brand new listing a few blocks away. Similarly wee and adorable, this 654-square-foot home was built in 1904 and still retains its original charm. But I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that it also has some nice updates…
For a place with such a small footprint, this house actually has a decent amount of functional space, including a walk-out finished basement…
And a sweet little yard with a garden shed…
Of course, I realize this property is not for everyone. It’s too tiny for most people. But given its proximity to dozens of awesome restaurants and its rock bottom price, it could make one heck of a cool pad for a single person or a couple.
And I’m not sure if the zoning would work out or not, but I also wonder if you could set this up as a short-term rental cottage? I’ve used VRBO to rent similar properties across the country, and this is certainly a house I’d love to “try out” for a weekend.
5510 Columbia has 1 bedroom & 1.5 baths. It was just listed today by Deborah Kiper, RE/MAX, for $28,000.
