Grab Bag: Suzie’s Quick Picks #1

September 6, 2013 , In: Residential Properties , With: No Comments

I’ve been extra busy this week, trying to get things done before I leave on vacation. But thankfully, my awesome assistant/sister, Suzie Shepherd, has been mining the MLS for interesting properties.

She has such a great eye, I’ve asked her to start doing blog posts on a regular basis. (She already handles the website maintenance.) So her first official post will go up later this month. But in the mean time, here are a few of her favorite recent listings…

4301 Forder Terrace, Oakville – Built in 1929 by U.S. Congressman & Harry Truman confidant, C. Arthur Anderson, this South County Tudor is an absolute gem. It’s freshly updated but still has great vintage character, and the new price may be just what it needs to finally sell! BONUS: the slate roof is new and the .38-acre lot is gorgeous!! 3+3, 2504sf, re-listed 3 days ago by Suzanne Kirkpatrick, Coldwell Banker, for $265,000.

6 Lakeview, Ferguson – One of the most beautiful places in Ferguson is January-Wabash Park, where you’ll find a 5.5-acre spring-fed lake that was once part of the Thomas January estate and later the Wabash Country Club. Today it’s a popular fishing hole surrounded by a lovely walking path, and this 1939 Cape Cod charmer just happens to sit right next door! What a fabulous view at a bargain price! 3+2, 1302sf, listed 11 days ago by Brooke Wolfe, Wolfe Realty, for $150,000.

9316 Althea, Affton-  This 1935 Affton bungalow is so darn cute, I can hardly stand it! Just ignore the fact that it only has one (super sweet pink & black) bathroom and check out the photos! 3+1, 1848sf, listed 10 days ago by Brenda Fisher, Dielmann Sotheby’s, for $147,500. **Update 10/8/13:  Price dropped to $139,900

457 Osage Ridge, Augusta – This is the most expensive home ever featured on this blog, but I think it’s definitely worth a mention. Not only does it offer amazing views of Missouri Wine Country, but it’s also a 1966 architectural treasure designed by William Bernoudy. Let the drooling begin! 5+3, 4000sf, 183 acres, listed 10 days ago by Ted Wight, Dielmann Sotheby’s, for $2,176,000.

If you’d like a buyer’s agent to show you any of these unique listings, give me a call…
