Oh my, I’ve been a bad blogger lately! I’ve had the very good problem of multiple contracts and lots of business, so I haven’t had much time to write. I’m also in the midst of a quick getaway to the Ozarks, enjoying some much needed R & R, but I wanted to give you something to read.

After months of planning, I am now proud to say that STLchickens.com is officially launched! A collaboration between me and my very talented sister, Suzie Shepherd, this handy website is a guide to every single backyard chicken ordinance in St. Louis city and county!

I have numerous clients who keep chickens or who want to at their next home. And Suzie’s fiance comes from a chicken-loving family whose hens are so pretty, they’re featured on a bag of chicken feed! So it was only natural that we’d work together on this project, with a goal of helping St. Louisans navigate the various laws in our 90+ municipalities.

Of course, you should always verify those laws yourself, especially when you’re buying a house. That’s why we’ve provided links to every available city website and the actual text and web link for ordinances. We consider STL Chickens a community service and we hope you agree!
