Lustron Alert: 4848 Germania

June 15, 2014 , In: Residential Properties , With: No Comments

A couple months ago I got a “heads-up” call from a very nice reader, who wanted to let me know that an original Lustron would probably be hitting the market soon in South City. That house was 4848 Germania, which did indeed hit the market this evening.

Built in 1950, this pre-fab steel ranch has 3 bedrooms & 1 bath in 1209 square feet. It doesn’t have a basement (typical for Lustrons) but the yard is huge by city standards – .204 acre – and there’s also a detached 2-car garage. More importantly for vintage house lovers, this baby is pretty darn original….

I wonder if the original magnets are included?

4848 Germania was just listed by Michael McGuire, Keller Williams, for $115,900. If you’d like a buyers agent to show you this classic mid-century home, let me know!
