I’m a total sucker for an old house with a mystery, so I couldn’t help but take this new listing in Moscow Mills. Built sometime in the 1890s (I think) and later enlarged & updated in the 1980s, some say it may have been a post office, maybe even a hotel. But I just tracked down a 97-year-old descendent of a former owner and she said no, she believes it was always a residence.
So who built it, and when?? I’ve been digging through old deed records to find out and I’m definitely getting closer! Will post an update when I know more.
In the mean time, why not swing by my open house this Sunday from 1-3pm? This unique & updated abode sits on 3 acres and even includes a playhouse with a sliding board & secret door!
There’s also a large workshop / garage on the property but the ownership details are a bit complicated, so contact me if you want the full scoop.
358 East 3rd Street has 3 bedrooms & 2 baths in 1650sf. It’s listed by me for $122,500. Open house 7/19, 1-3pm.
If you’d like to arrange a private showing of this historical home, give me a call!
