Urban Compound: 3907 Illinois

If there’s one reason I don’t live in the city, it’s because I really like my space. I’m not too keen on being right on top of my neighbors, so that excludes a huge chunk of properties in St. Louis. If you feel the same way, but your heart’s still set on city living, may I suggest this sweet little compound in the Marine Villa neighborhood.

Built prior to 1876, this two-story farmhouse looms large over a half-acre corner property that’s almost fully surrounded by privacy fence. It was totally overhauled 20 years ago, with new updates from top to bottom. And if you’re an artist, car enthusiast or woodworker, you will love the fact that it comes with numerous outbuildings.

Personally, I think the price is a bit steep, especially since most of the homes in this area are selling for $50,000 or less. But perhaps there is room for negotiation…

If you’d like a buyer’s agent to show you this unique city property with a view of the Mississippi, I’d be happy to help!
