At last, the stone mansion is SOLD!

Some real estate transactions are relatively quick and painless. Others drag on for months and make you wonder if they should really happen at all. 4401 McClay was definitely the latter.

Since February, I’ve been working with an amazing couple whose dream is to convert this 1820s limestone house and the surrounding 10 acres into a wedding & event venue. Along the way, we hit every possible road block – zoning, funding, you name it – but these brave folks stuck it out and I’m proud to say that the McClay Mansion, one of the few remaining historic estates in St. Charles County, now belongs to them!

It has been a privilege working with such inspiring clients, not to mention a truly class-act listing agent, Jerris Ruth, and the incredible Ann Campbell of Integrity Land Title. I send the very best wishes to my new buyers, and thank them for not only their dedication and patience but also for reminding me of this empowering quote by Ellen Johnson Sirleaf:

“If your dreams don’t scare you, they are not big enough.”
