Grab Bag: Just a Few Mid-Century Beauties

Had a rare bit of free time today so I figured I might as well write about some houses! As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of “time capsule” homes (where the decor hasn’t changed in decades), so I couldn’t resist this 1960 ranch in unincorporated NoCo/MidCo.

Located in a sweet little subdivision called Green Gardens that straddles Maryland Heights, Bridgeton & St. Ann, this house is not only super convenient to the Lindbergh corridor, it’s also retro fabulous and sitting on nearly a half acre.

So much charm & potential here!! 7 Green Garden Drive has 3 bedrooms & 2.5 baths in 1400sf. It’s listed by Nancy Semon, BHHS Select, for $159,900.

Offering a similar size & vintage look, this 1950 ranch in St. Louis Hills also has a half-acre lot – which, for the city, is kind of like finding a unicorn!

I mean, I dig the interior. Especially this classic metal kitchen. But how often do you see an urban backyard like THIS??

That’s a lot of land even for the county, and it backs up to a park as well! WOW! 87 Willmore has 3 bedrooms & 1.5 baths in 1405sf. It’s listed by Joan Sharkey, BHHS Alliance, for $269,900.

So that one was on Willmore and this one is on Fillmore! LOL. Built in 1960, this Kirkwood MCM could probably use some freshening up but the bones are solid and the location is prime.

You could walk to the Kirkwood Farmers Market, then bring your goodies back for a fresh-cooked meal. The natural light is amazing here, and the half-acre lot is lush and private.

What’s not to love? 316 Fillmore Lane has 3 bedrooms & 2 baths in 1879sf. It’s listed by Linda Hodge, Laura McCarthy, for $399,900.

Finally, here’s our drool-worthy gem of the day. You can buy this 1963 Ralph Fournier home when you win the lottery! It’s located in Ladue, across from Old Warson Country Club, and I think you’ll agree it’s perfectly zen & modern…

Yes, please! 9897 Copper Hill has 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths & 2 half baths in 2637sf. It sits on 1.24 acres and is listed by Ted Wight, Dielmann Sotheby’s, for $729,000.

If you’d like more info on any of these unique mid-century properties, let me know!
