The official start of something new

Wow, it’s hard to believe this blog has been on hold for six months! And frankly, limping along for the past year. As you may know, my life & business were pretty shaken up by the events in Ferguson, so I’ve been in recovery/rebuild mode ever since.

But I’m not here to dwell on that. I’m here to celebrate a fresh start!

First off, I want to announce that I have a real estate team now! Rather than work as a solo agent, I’m joined by my husband, Keith Howard, and our friend, Scott Saputo, and we’re the Howard Team specializing in vintage & unique houses: 1890s – 1980s.

I used to say “vintage” was 1960s or earlier, but now that I live in St. Charles and am surrounded by amazing properties from the 70s & 80s, I’m stretching my timeline a bit. I’ve also realized that this encompasses many homes with the same typical old house issues I deal with all the time, and I can share that knowledge with buyers & sellers.

As for STL Homes with Soul, I’m also switching gears. Unlike the previous blog that focused almost exclusively on actively listed properties, this new incarnation will be more varied, with a mix of houses for sale, articles on old house parts & systems, lifestyle pieces on DIY, decor & gardening, and fun field notes about real estate & other adventures.

For the first time ever, Keith will be blogging too! He’s currently working on an article about classic 1950s cabinet pulls, and I think you’ll find him very entertaining.

Our goal is to post at least twice a week, here and on Facebook, so I hope you’ll check in again soon and visit with us frequently. I also hope you’ll contact the Howard Team for all your real estate needs. Thank you very much!
